Tio Pil, a born Sanpedrano, was recognized by everyone on the island of San Pedro as a hardworking man; a man filled with integrity and dedication.

Some might call this a locals’ type of place, and locals do come here, no doubt. But for every local there are at least five tourists, and who could blame them?
The place is right on the beach, though you can’t really get into the water from the beach, and it does look quaint. The servers seem a little over it all, but they’re friendly and helpful enough.
Food takes its time coming out, and when it gets there, it’s OK. Prices are fair, the drinks are cold, and the vibe is right.

We ate breakfast here almost every day. The plate is so big you can share. Right on the water with that great beach fell. We love this place and will be back.

We were in Belize April 2026 and February2025. We stayed at Sunbreeze Suites which is next door to Lily's. Lily's has the BEST lobster omelet! We ate breakfast there almost every day on both trips. When we just went in April 2026 lobster was out of season so we had to have the shrimp omelet, which was delicious as well! Lots of shrimp/lobster and wonderfully seasoned. And the fry jacks were great too!
